This track brake is a weighted block of wood with padding on the front and a ridge in the bottom that fits in the track’s center guide rail.

The brake will safely bring a pinewood derby car to a stop within several inches.

The brake is the same width as the car for maximum cushioning.

Placement of brake on track.
This brake is easy to use. Simply place the brake on the track so that the ridge in the bottom fits into the center groove on the track and the padded end is facing the start. The brake should be placed just behind the finish line with one track section behind the brake to allow for brake movement while stopping the car. Move the brake back to the finish line after each race.
