This kit teaches the science behind what makes a pinewood derby racer go faster. The 24-page book is full of information, including race rules, building tips, and sportsmanship. Includes a car scale.

Included in the kit

Car scale - uses 25 quarters as a counter weight (not included).
Although this scale is accurate, it may not be as accurate as the scale used to weigh your car before the race.We recommend using at least a few of the stick-on weights that are included in this kit to make your car balance on this scale. If your car is over weight, one of the weights can easily be removed.

8 stick-on weights with adhesive backing - .125 oz each for a total of one oz.
Most Pinewood Derby cars require more weight than this to reach the maximum 5 oz but these are ideal for fine tuning your car's weight.  We recommend that they be applied to the upper rear area of your car.
