Our Awana wheels and axles give your car an extra speed edge over the stock parts. They are legal in most Awana races but check your rules to be sure.

Lathed Awana Wheels

These wheels have the following modifications:

The tread is lathed to remove all bumps and other imperfections and to make the wheel round within 0.001 inch and
The inside edge of the wheel rim is tapered. Reduces friction when the wheel rubs against the center guide rail.
Wheel hub is coned- One of the largest factors that limit the speed of your car is the friction caused by the wheel hub rubbing on the car body. By coning the hub, we reduce the wheel/body contact area by 95%, minimizing friction.

Awana Ultra Lite Wheels

This is the ultimate Awana racing wheel . Every critical area of this official Awana wheel has been treated and machined so all dimensions are perfect and ready to race. In addition to all of the modifications of our lathed wheels, the hub is reamed straight and the inside of this wheel is totally re-worked with special tooling for the most possible weight removal but still retaining durability. This wheel is machined within a .0005” tolerance.

Awana Polished Axles

These axles have the following modifications:

Heads have been tapered back slightly to reduce friction between the wheel and axles.
Axle is machine polished to a very fine mirror finish for minimum friction and maximum speed.

Awana Graphite Coated Axles

	Same as our polished axles but we use a special process that coats the axle with an even layer of high grade graphite. The graphite is bonded to the axle so it will last many races. Our tests have shown no reduction in speed after more than 20 races!
